Just saw a post about Jira and I know that this sort of response isn't a an appropriate way to derail that thread, but y'all are on my feed, so you get my intrusive thoughts piped directly into your magic glass.
You don't need to use Jira. There is another way. It's called Linear.
I cannot promise that it'll match all the corners of your tortured workflows and integrations. And there is no ticketing tool which will free you from the burden of actually having to communicate with your colleagues and make decisions about your plans.
But Linear is simply better than Jira. It's as though Jira had been developed by people who are actually trying to make pleasant software which doesn't suck to use. It's such a neat tool that I even use it for personal projects. Go forth, be free, drop Jira!
