#writerscoffeeclub - Day 18 December. What are your biggest turnoffs or turn-ons when reading?
Turn-off? Bad editing & grammar, repetitive use of the same verbs in a paragraph. Head-hopping (can handle it in old novels where it was the norm but certainly not in newer). Most likely I'll give the book away rather than continue reading. Dare I say 'hand-made' covers?
Turn-on? Great characters & story. I read gory murder mysteries so love ones where I think I know 'who done it' but I'm so wrong.
