Bleh. One of my sewing ladies’ grandsons has proposed, aw how lovely etc, but she’s sent us a photo and it was one of those awful staged public things and I can’t bring myself to reply for fear that I’ll accidentally say “The poor woman must have been mortified! I hope she didn’t just say yes because she was surrounded by crowds of random people watching her and going ‘aww, how romantic’.”

I’m sure she’s actually delighted, etc, but bleh.
