Or rather, more specifically: I do not trust end users. Android and IOS allow end users to install all kind of stuff and that means at some point some stupid end users are going to install spyware, rendering the encryption of the messenger useless.

So I would like the messenger to run in an environment that is so simple that it can not be ruined by the end user, because it can not install anything and even if there is no persistent memory anything could be installed to.
