Huh, I heard that Twitter's fiasco right now will hurt artists, who don't have other platforms to go to. I guess that's true in the short term, when Twitter was the main way for artists to interact with each other. However, I feel that this never should've happened in the first place. There was always the option to use other platforms like Pixiv, Tumblr, Newgrounds, and here. You never had to use Twitter for any particular reason (especially due to the awful UI and community). Plus, I'd say that those platforms are way better for artists to use, since they actually see them as a community. I'm not trying to say artists deserved it! I'm just saying that this is what happens when a centralized monopoly starts to become unusable and fall apart and there were ways to prevent this as a community.
