Thanks.
Actually there are several modern schools of psychotherapy that have based their systems around the Stoics and their beliefs.
Viktor Frankl's Logotherapy and the ever popular and effective Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) for example.
It was the effectiveness of those therapies with my clients and in my own life that drove me to read and study the source material. There isn't much left in existence, unfortunately, but what there is, is definitely worth the read.
If your interested in looking into a modern interpretation of Stoicism based on the ancient texts, I would recommend Ryan Holiday's work, specifically 'The Obstacle is the Way'. Also, Donald Robertson's 'Stoicism and the Art of Happiness' is very good as a jumping off point too. 😊
