The way society traditionally defines strength is essentially “don’t feel your emotions and don’t express your feelings because it’s weak.” It’s only socially acceptable for men to be stoic and angry. Men aren’t allowed to have feelings or experiences that aren’t masculine (toxically masculine). Therefore, men do not feel safe enough to seek out mental health help and struggle alone.
