The research team carried out their observations during the summer of 2019 in southern Sweden. They carefully selected twenty different places, each containing three distinct natural habitat zones. Watching these areas repeatedly - both while clover fields were in full bloom and after flowering ended - they recorded which insects visited which flowers.
