As almost everybody else, I don't like to think that everything is deterministic and that free will does not exist, however is a really useful way of thinking to cooperate and relate with each other for good.
I am writing this as I am reading Morgan's Housel Psychology of Money, in the first section that talks about the most important things in order to make money, that is the role of luck. There are also a lot of different Stoicism related books that go further on this, I think is one of the most crucial concepts to understand to live a happy and fullfilling life.
