Should Ontario and Quebec sacrifice a million jobs and the air so that foreign capital can maximize income pumping oil out of Alberta?
Tar industry is certainly helpful for jobs in AB, but remember:
- AB collects minimal royalties
- AB allows maximum mess left behind in air & water pollution and abandoned wells
- the oil companies are about 70% foreign owned by US and China. Income is de-patriated.
