Since this morning the 10 year Treasury jumped by 8 basis points. At the same time the Japanese yen jumped, past the 160 that the Japanese Central bank wants. Did the BoJ just dump a lot of US Treasuries in order to prevent the rise in their currency? I know they sold 60 billion just a few months ago and they said more would be coming.
I know a lot of hedge funds play with the US Dollar / Yen trade.
