I sometimes hear narration and think “hmm, is that synthesised speech? Sounds a little robotic.”

But it’s just a human who happens to have a synthetic-sounding cadence. Someone who grew up with robots speaking around them, and it is now part of how they speak.

It makes me think that humans won’t ever be supplanted in some AI singularity. We’ll just become the “AI” ourselves.
