I know y’all want to do a #fuckElonMusk and donate to #wikipedia but the Wikimedia Foundation is very well-funded; their last balance sheet lists $271M in net assets (including $856k of donations) with $15M of liability, $13M of which appear to be operating cost. At that burn rate, they will survive for about TWENTY YEARS with no further donations.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t donate to Wikimedia Foundation; I’m saying that you shouldn’t do it because Elon told you (not) to. Maybe consider another operation that needs money more urgently.
