I don't see a study cited, I see a couple of disembodied screenshots that convey very little useful information. I guess it's a study about gene flow. The reported sample numbers seem extremely small to be making any claims at all against. Is it a revelation that the imperial capital of a hegemonic empire would attract a steady flow of foreigners that would change the genetic composition of the region? I wouldn't say so. Is that point to pretend that non-Romans weren't moving to the city before Christianity? Must all history be reduced to easily malleable abstractions for the purpose of drawing straight lines between events and populations that have precious little in common? Jesus.
