Saddened and a touch angry to learn that one of my local community colleges, the one I got my degree in horticulture from, is going to be shuttering the campus that hosted the hort. program, and then selling the land (presumably to a developer that wants to put in 400k luxury condos). This will rob people in our area of the most affordable way to major in horticulture and hamper the hiring efforts of local nurseries in their ability to find workers with pre-existing plant knowledge. 😡
