1. I went with numbers, because that automagically means short URLs, and also because sometimes post title changes and then you're either keeping the old incorrect slug or breaking existing links.

2. Missing numbers are blogposts that are already in the repo, but not ready for publication yet. But for whatever reason (correctly or incorrectly) I decided to "reserve" a spot for them.
