Was in a foul mood after trying unsuccessfully to track down a lost refund check with the IRS — apparently I have to wait until it’s been so long it’s obvious and call back. That’s the best they can do! Already the original check they sent got stolen and cashed by someone else, and now I’m waiting seven weeks on the second one. I really think the “stolen” checks might be a scam wherein they mark refund checks somehow and share the proceeds with a cabal inside the IRS.

In any event, I was in a foul mood, but had to pick up my kid after basketball practice and brought the dog to walk him — two chores one drive.
