From a recent visit to Oaks Bottom Wetlands, on the Willamette River in Portland, OR. Kingfishers were busy working the shallows all morning. The Oaks Park ferris wheel is in the background behind the heron. Not pictured here (but on the blog) are yellow-rumped warblers, cedar waxwing, an eagle pair, and a stand of more than 20 heron. A very good day!
