so say a situation happens where I'm not in my local area and somehow I can't use the sun or stars for direction.
where would I actually find a map? say lost out in the bush or something.
am I meant to print out maps to take when I travel? I don't know where I would even buy a map in person, so do I print out google maps to take with me everywhere?
the local information centre does have a large map printed out, actually before the days of Google maps we used to just pull up in a town and read the local map at their information centre, and obviously street signs and landmarks.
don't remember ever actually using or needing paper maps.
I remember the scouts making a big deal about map and compass but they literally just had us walking along a hiking trail.
