"content": "I directed my first excavation in 1997, when I was 25. We painstakingly investigated a mound with an obvious robber pit on the edge of a cemetery section at Barshalder where nobody had reported any finds before. We hardly made any artefact finds either (because obviously robbed, duh) but we got a clear date in the Early Roman Period. 1/2\n\n#archaeology\nhttps://mstdn.archaeo.social/media_attachments/files/112/542/848/322/986/710/original/eaa7be3f4a18a2de.jpg\nhttps://mstdn.archaeo.social/media_attachments/files/112/542/848/333/325/790/original/008a703038391329.jpg\n",
