Summer and I got distracted and didn't toot last night's sunset.
We cuddled together to watch the sun go down like always.
I used my quiet time to remember my son. I always think of him this time of day and especially this day before his birthday.
Before he passed, we would try to coordinate being on our decks, miles away from each other, to talk on the phone, to ooh and ahhh and compare who had the best sunset view. He had an ocean view from his deck too.
He was excellent company, funny and loving, and he left me with a lifetime of good memories.
He would have been Summer's biggest fan.
