I didn't expect to see the UK's first full-scale CCS project to take the CO2 from a gas-fired power plant. With growing shares of solar and wind (and nuclear, in the UK's plans), their capacity factor is decreasing, making capital-intensive carbon capture and storage expensive per MWh and per tonne of CO2.
