My mom fled an Iron Curtain country. She never entertained the idea of going back. Ever. She profoundly missed family she left behind, but was convinced that she would be detained if she ever returned. She was very suspicious of those who fled, DID go back, and were allowed to return to the US.
I was reminded of this upon learning that Tim Waltz first visited China in 1989, honeymooned there in 1994, and has visited China over 30 times.
His policies make me think he was turned.
