i realized that all the fedi meta has pushed me away from trying to help people on a personal level, cuz it often blows up on me
that was never my intention to shift away from that. i do think i need to find a better way to gauge whether someone is going to try to turn against me, though. but thats really heckin' hard.
perhaps closing my DMs to those under 20 is the way to go, cuz thats the age group most likely to engage in relational aggression? but that's also a sledgehammer approach, and will block out quite a few people who i know mean well
