In many groups, it is not OK to disagree. There is "us" that all agree on a narrative, and there is "them" that are the enemy. If one disagrees with "us" one must be the enemy. This is called group think, and it is very dangerous. It's dangerous in any group, also the group of lovely people who's ideas you usually like a lot.
