Personal experience is somewhat anecdotal, but I used Android (phone & tablet) for years initially. Switched to Apple after my employer gave me an iPhone. Added iPad and Mac mini later myself.
Not using an iPhone would be missing out on some of the cross device syncing capability and reducing the effectiveness of an Apple One family subscription for iCloud and other services.
There is no compelling advantage to Android in a mixed scenario IMO.
