A few days ago I deleted a door dash account I had created at the onset of the #pandemic. I was all ready for the form where they ask me why I'm leaving. No exit questions at all. Huh.
Just now I deleted my #Substack account, after informing the accounts I follow on why I'm unsubscribing and deleting my account.
Most of them already knew and have publicly stated they're leaving. Of the two I emailed, one wrote back immediately. They hadn't heard a whisper of the controversy around Substack. I'm glad I took the time to alert them.
Again, Substack did not ask me a single exit question, or even ask me to stay.
It was nice not to be bothered, but I really wanted to let 'em have it, dammit!
