LB When I think of Ancient Rome, I think of colonization. I think of how everything Europe did in the last many centuries was presaged by Ancient Romans conquering Europe and decimating local culture by force. I think of the propagation of this culture of conquest and "civilization" (as a verb). Anyone putting those guys on a pedestal needs to wake tf up.
