From the We Are So Early files, I’m dealing with a property insurance claim (because real estate is a shitcoin). The insurer’s default is to mail a check. Their “recent innovation” is this: issue an electronic check that I can print myself, then deposit, and wait for an indeterminate amount of time for my bank to make funds available.
