I'm pretty sure they want to ban social media so that the communist indoctrination practiced in public schools by disciples of Paulo Freire has a monopoly over the teens minds for longer. I imagine the worst thing that could happen govts are teens getting unfeathered access information through decentralized social media (consevaturds might think it's bad because their teens will be able to look at porn, but Liberty/Freedom doesn't care about their kind of collectivist brain rot either).
