Signal is not more secure in any sense.
If a side can decrypt the data and is compromised they will be available.
This is unavoidable with any protocol / platform.
The problem here is that Nostr clients are still in beta (see XSS attack on Astral and Damus web days ago) so is better to be extra cautious for now. Just that :)
