You can, but you had better have an accurate meat thermometer to measure internal temps in the thickest portion of the meat after cooking.

One thing you can do is use the defrost setting on your microwave (or just half-power if your microwave lacks that function) & do a quick defrost to bring up the temp. That way, it will come to safe temps during cooking more easily. Also chopping cold meat into smaller chunks allows quicker, more even heating.
