I'm so sick of reading shit like "AI helped solve" some minor mystery. Most of the time, all it did was take a few hundred work-hours out of a project, and burn the planet a bit.

As much as that's interesting, I don't see the trade off as being worthwhile.

The one that triggered this is using AI to analyse paint chips from the Berlin Wall to figure out the paint used.

My first question is "Why?". It's not like the recipes for paint are top secret, I don't see the need for AI
