Good morning from Japan🇯🇵❤️✈️
Jetlagged but excited 😆
#nostrasia tips when arriving to Narita:
1. Get your QRs from travel Japan web (immigration - yellow) and (customs -light blue). They will give you a paper version on the plane, they are not necessary if you have the QRs. When you have you luggage proceed with the Light-blue customs QR, they will insist you fill another with a paper version BUT it's not necessary, just point to the QR and save yourself 20 minutes and a frustration. Google Japan web for getting the QRs in advance.
2. Get a physical data SIM card, the best is mobal. I got the one for 16 days for ¥6,490. Order online and pick it at Narita. Essential for Google maps and getting around. Setup is shown here (the APN part is important):
3. Get a level down from the arrivals exit and get cash at GPA exchange. Is reputable and correct:
4. Get a Suica transportation card at the automatic machine just a little down the hall the money exchange. The card cost nothing (nice souvenir!), and you fill it as needed. If you go with Uber/taxi from Narita to Tokio it's $200 aprox. By train it's just ¥1800, and takes around the same time 1.5 H.
Enjoy and Pura vida 🫂
