Each Thursday I host a sync meeting with my team. It's a chance to stay in touch, keep everyone updated on important goings-on, and basically keep connected in a highly distributed and asynchronous world.

Usually I stand up and "present" the content on the agenda. Today I tried something different. I pulled up a comfy chair, sat down, and called it a "town hall."

The results were fascinating. Everyone turned on their camera where usually only two or three people have their cameras on, and the discussion was much more vibrant and interactive.

I might make this the new normal.
