I bought some but have never carried it. in my run ins with black bears they were always totally ambivalent towards me. I think they're rarely aggressive, unless you're between a mama and her cubs. Make noise and stay aware of your surroundings.
Now a bear can I think is a no brainier. Keeps the bears out of your food so that they don't learn to associate humans with snacks. 👍
