I was wondering why my wonderful Eizo monitor was getting so dim. I thought maybe its panel was degrading after many years of work.

But no... I got a new KDE Plasma version and suddenly there's a screen brightness control in the systray.

And apparently, it's set to 30% by default.

I only noticed it because I wanted to change the sound volume and mis-clicked 😞
