Im going to go back to the the creativity in vidya games you mentioned earlier, to add onto it, it's not like copyright laws help in creativity too. the whole creativity legality system, at least in the US, seems anti-creativity and appears to focus on franchises and sequels rather than creativity. It's hell for artists, or even people who want to create something new, but a paradise for creatively sterile hacks and corporate scumbags. I'd love for some supreme court justice with some balls to say everything's public domain.
