If you register your stolen bike on Bike Index, you'll make it easier for us mechanics to spot it if it's brought in for repair or resale.

This is useless post-theft advice (although this could be pre-theft advice for your next bike?) but a motion-sensor alarm-box can add a layer of security without being anywhere near as expensive or complicated as a GPS tracker.
