True. But the brain is an ecosystem with different aspects. Our primitive brain is focused on survival and it gets first "input" on anything and everything. It's up to use to cultivate pathways that treat fewer things as "threats" (for us to "react" to) and more as opportunities to explore and thrive ("respond" to). (Wish they taught this in kindergarten... would have helped me a lot!)
