npub15fe8snwf0jsk93au6haj3zrtxx9awz3wcc8lxx6qmypv6tndww6sp3x47v (npub15fe…x47v) rougier's mastodon-alt repo has more distinct breaks between toots, and also hacks up a visual distinctio between what you've already "read"/seen, and what's new. i find i prefer the more necro default UI, but i enjoy mastodon-tl--highlight-current-toot, which sb asked for a while back and after adding it i left it on.

i'm also disappointed about ff. i wonder if it will generate any more energy for up-to-date forks tracking vanilla ff but ripping out the AI.
