npub1djvnea5e8tuytt8ml6z2sdraa643yqjcwqhkffgfdpray8dn60cq7v74n2 (npub1djv…74n2) it never occurred to me to search the Irish Military Archives in my own genealogical research until now but I've found some very interesting, and quite distressing correspondence from my grand uncle John J. O'Sullivan who was an IRA volunteer in Kerry 3rd Brigade during the War of Independence and the Civil War. He was badly burned while his company were setting fire to the RIC Barracks in Sneem and suffered life long injuries requiring continuing medical attention.
