For the second time in a week, I have burned my ships upon embarking on a construction project, this time replacing my coop’s rotting roof. The old one was the first roof I ever built, eight years ago, using the cheapest corrugated plastic I could get.

This time I’m going with proper plywood sheathing, actually putting down felt, and using ribbed, 29 gauge, silver, steel roofing, to match our house and other two outbuildings.
