I've been generally disappointed with how embeddings are usually explained - sentences like "a relatively low-dimensional space into which you can translate high-dimensional vectors" make them sound a whole lot more complicated than they actually are
This is my attempt at fixing this. I think embeddings are absolutely worth taking the time to understand - they unlock all kinds of really cool applications
