instead of platforms simply using the content of one user to attract the attention of another user so they can sell to advertisers, you could cut out the middleman and have creators and viewers have a direct financial relationship. Creator provides something valuable, user pays them in return
This is a strange idea for most people still I think, the idea that their post on social media has value that they could get paid for. That they don’t need to be an “influencer” to get some value back from the content they create, however much of it they do create. That they don’t need to wait on some platform to hand them the money it decided they deserve.
But lightning is making all this possible and it’s so exciting to see
