I sometimes say "aphids are vegetables" I have never seen a creature that seems so unconcerned with its own mortality. They do just kind of leak babies ... and often those babies are born pregnant. They've gone all in with the "don't run just swamp 'em" survival strategy.
But when a ladybird starts eating and aphid there is seemingly no reaction.
The ants move them and fuss over them... no reaction.
There isn't much going on on the surface it seems.
