Not saying my husband had a sheltered childhood but one year he wanted to deep fry the turkey and was in charge of getting it from the store. He waited until the day before Thanksgiving because he thought Albertsons had fresh turkeys in the store. Anyway, that was the year we had chicken for Thanksgiving.
