George Bush started 'thank you for your service' to shut down the debate of whether the US should invade Iraq. I'm a beneficiary of that gaffe. TPTB have been paying for that ever since. Every time I go to the VA I say it to the staff before they can say it to me. It screws up the narrative. Roughly half of them think it's funny. Dont get me wrong. I'm still pissed
