Maybe. But I’m not sure I agree with the idea that censorship is the root cause of the “mess”.
I think it’s more likely an ugly symptom of ill-conceived attempts to try and mitigate hyper-polarization that arises from recommender systems blithely applied to large networks.
I feel like portability inherent to fediverse may be enough to at least somewhat challenge that paradigm?
