The AI grift has many components. One of the flaws that open-sourcing exposes is how US tech companies have been able to hype, inflate, and manipulate digital value.
The release was probably a shot across the bow. Economies that produce products cannot be measured using a local model in a global economy... which exposes a very large problem.
